Ssalefish GSO First Look #10 for 6.7.17
This weekend is obviously a celebration of the Princess of Power's 75 year journey to the big screen in her first solo movie, and we'll be getting in on the action giving away FREE copies of Wonder Woman Rebirth #1 at the AMC Classic 18 Cinemas (formerly Carmike 18) on Koger Blvd. tonight starting at 6 PM!
Then we'll blow it out on Saturday from 11 AM - 8 PM with FREE copies of Wonder Woman #1 (Rebirth) and DC Super Hero Girls Summer Olympus while supplies, plus FREE bracelets & tiaras for the first 25 people through the door!
One of my favorite versions of Wonder Woman will always be Darwyn Cooke's raucous version from DC New Frontier (seen above) that stood even taller than Superman and played a pivotal role in his own take on Dark Knight Returns #4 in the Justice League: New Frontier special.
The other is Brian Azzarello, Cliff Chiang, and the underrated Goran Sudzuka's run from the New 52, mainly for being the first folks to think of intertwining Olympus with the New Gods. Several of Cliff's Boom Tube-featured pages have been in the back of my mind since I first saw them at San Diego Comic Con in 2013.
