Happy Birthday to my niece, Ellie Adeline, who turns one today! Her parents are with my parents in Hawaii this week, but Carly and I are leaving after work next Friday to be at her official birthday party on Saturday afternoon! Out to Chicago and back in just over 36 hours!

This week’s cover was another tough choice and I ended up going with the third one I did again. They each have at least one hiccup, and I like them each for different reasons (pickup switching on Yellowcard’s “Lights & Sounds”, the solo on Jimmy Eat World’s “The Middle”, the emotion of $). My Squier by Fender Telecaster Deluxe II with Duncan Designed P-90s is my least favorite guitar, mostly cause it sounds so chuggy and the maple fretboard never warms up like a rosewood or pao farro, and I’ve thought about customizing it into something I’d actually want to play, but it seems like for the expense I could get a Joe Trohman signature that would also have a tummy cutout on the back of the body.
